How it works

One tag, one page, the services you choose.

The tag is the way in; what sits behind it is up to you. Your business page grows with the services you switch on, and every interaction becomes a data point that tells you how things are going.

  1. 1

The customer holds their phone to the NFC tag

One tap, or a scan of the QR code. No app to install.

  2. 2

    Your business page opens

With your logo, your colours and buttons for the services you switched on.

  3. 3

They do whatever they need right then

Leave a review, browse the menu, take a number, order at the table or book.

  4. 4

You get data and insight for every tag

See what works, which spots are busy and where to improve.

The platform

It's not just reviews: it's everything the customer does with their phone.

Reviews and feedback are included in every plan, and they are the starting point. On the same tag and the same page you switch on the services you actually need: menu, Wi-Fi, queue, table ordering, loyalty card, appointments. One subscription, one dashboard, no second supplier to deal with.

Reviews and feedback

Included in the plan

The customer taps the tag, gives their rating and publishes it on Google; the written comment comes only to you, with per-tag data in the dashboard.

And the services you add when you need them

  • Digital menu

    39 € / year

Your menu on a web page you update yourself, with a dedicated button on your landing page.

  • Guest Wi-Fi

    29 € / year

Network name and password on a page, with a connection QR code: the customer joins without typing anything.

  • Digital queue

    69 € / year

Customers take a number from their phone and see how long is left; you call the next one from the console. No ticket machine and no crowd at the counter.

  • Table ordering

    99 € / year

The customer orders from the table by tapping the tag: picks from the menu, adds notes and sends. The order reaches your counter with the table it came from.

  • Loyalty card

    49 € / year

Points collection without the paper card: the customer records the visit by tapping the tag, sees how far the reward is, and you hand it over from the console.

  • Appointments

    99 € / year

The customer picks a service and a time from a calendar and sends you the request; you confirm from the console and the appointment lands in the diary.

  • Staff call

    24 € / year

The customer taps the table's tag and asks for what they need: the call appears on the console of whoever is on the floor, with the table it came from.

  • Issue reports

    79 € / year

Whoever finds a problem reports it by tapping the room's tag: the report reaches the right contact by email with the spot it came from, and you close it from the console.

  • Entry carnet

    49 € / year

Prepaid entries without the paper card: you sell the carnet at the counter, the customer uses an entry by tapping the tag and sees how many are left.

  • Workout plans

    49 € / year

The training plan on the customer's phone: you write days and exercises from the console and give them an eight-digit code. Five plans included.

  • Club membership manager

    69 € / year

Member registration without paper forms: the member fills in their details and signs the consents on their phone, you issue the card from the console — by hand or from your federation, via API — and they find it again with the code.

  • Events

    79 € / year

Your event calendar: the customer asks to join from their phone, you confirm from the console and hand them a pass with the code — in the phone's wallet, and you scan it at the door.

  • Surveys

    39 € / year

You write the questions — cleanliness, waiting time, breakfast, staff — and the customer answers on a page of their own: the console shows the average for each question, the comments and what keeps coming up.

  • Work order status

    49 € / year

The customer drops an item at the counter and follows the work from their phone: received, in progress, ready, collected. With a ten-digit code on the receipt.

  • Graphics

    Beta

    59 € / year

Pick a template, make it yours in Canva, and the result becomes a box on your landing page — which you show and hide whenever you like — plus an image to send on WhatsApp and social.

Every service requires an active HappyTap plan: it is a yearly price that adds to the plan fee only if you switch it on, and it is managed from the same dashboard. See plans and pricing.

How it works

An NFC tag, ready to place.

Just hold a phone close and the experience starts: no app to install. And anyone whose phone has no NFC scans the QR code for the same page: two ways in, one page.

The available versions

Round formats in two sizes, the coloured rectangle and the vertical counter stand: pick the one that fits your place best. Tap an image to see it large.

  • Coloured rectangle

More room for a message and colours: noticeable from a distance.

  • Vertical stand

Upright on the counter and clearly visible: customers see it and tap without asking.

  • Large round

Maximum visibility: ideal in a window or on wide surfaces.

  • Small round

Discreet, perfect on menus, packaging or business cards.

Examples of use

On tables, stands, walls or wooden surfaces: the tag suits every setting.

Where to put it

On the counter, in the window or at the till: where customers notice it right away.

Pricing

30 days to try it, then a yearly fee.

You try HappyTap free for 30 days: create the account and get going, paying nothing. What you pay for afterwards is the service: your business page, the collection of reviews and feedback, the dashboard with the data. One yearly fee, no monthly cost, no surprises.

And the NFC tag?

It comes with the plan as equipment, it is not what you are buying: HappyTap works without it. Every business has the QR code for its page, ready to print from the dashboard on day one — same page, same data. We ship the NFC tag when you activate the plan, personalised for your business, because it is handier than a printed sheet.

Additional services

15 services to switch on when you need them

Besides reviews and feedback, which come with the plan, you can switch on extra features on the same business page: they appear as dedicated buttons on the landing page and you manage them from the same dashboard, without changing plan or tag.

They are additions to an active HappyTap plan, not standalone products. They live on your business page, so the plan is required: the service cost adds to the plan's yearly fee and follows the same expiry date.

Digital menu

39 € / year

Your menu on a web page you update yourself, with a dedicated button on your landing page.

  • Sections and items with prices, editable at any time with nothing to reprint
  • A dedicated address for the “Browse the menu” button, opening in a new tab
  • Mark an item as sold out instead of deleting it, and bring it back when it returns

Guest Wi-Fi

29 € / year

Network name and password on a page, with a connection QR code: the customer joins without typing anything.

  • The customer scans the QR and the phone connects on its own — no password dictated at the counter
  • Change the password whenever you like: the page is already updated, the tags and signs stay as they are
  • A dedicated address to put on a tag at the entrance or a card on the table

Digital queue

69 € / year + 3 € per extra

Customers take a number from their phone and see how long is left; you call the next one from the console. No ticket machine and no crowd at the counter.

  • The customer takes a number from their own phone and waits wherever they like, instead of standing at the till
  • You call the next one with a single button, and mark who was served and who did not show up
  • It resets to 1 by itself, at the hour you choose: a venue open until 2am does not lose its queue at midnight

Table ordering

99 € / year

The customer orders from the table by tapping the tag: picks from the menu, adds notes and sends. The order reaches your counter with the table it came from.

Requires Digital menu (39 € / year)

  • The order arrives already written and with the right table: nothing taken from memory, no wasted trips across the room
  • The customer follows their order from their phone — received, being prepared, ready — and stops looking around for you
  • Every order carries the table it came from, and you close the counter with one button when you stop taking orders

Loyalty card

49 € / year

Points collection without the paper card: the customer records the visit by tapping the tag, sees how far the reward is, and you hand it over from the console.

  • The customer has nothing to carry and nothing to lose: the card is on their phone and they find it again by tapping the tag
  • The point is earned from the tag's page and no more than once every so many hours, which you decide: the collection moves at the pace of visits, not taps
  • See who reached the goal, hand over the reward and the card starts again from zero — with the history of every step kept

Appointments

99 € / year + 12 € per extra calendar

The customer picks a service and a time from a calendar and sends you the request; you confirm from the console and the appointment lands in the diary.

  • The customer books from their phone at any hour, even when you are closed: requests wait for you in the console instead of becoming missed calls
  • They only see times that are genuinely free, worked out from your opening hours, your closures and how long the chosen service takes
  • You confirm them one by one: whoever left an email gets written confirmation, and can cancel themselves, freeing the slot
  • One calendar is included; with several — one per practitioner, per chair, per room — you can take two appointments at the same time (12 € a year each)

Staff call

24 € / year

The customer taps the table's tag and asks for what they need: the call appears on the console of whoever is on the floor, with the table it came from.

  • Three buttons and no form: “I'd like to order”, “The bill, please”, “I need help” — or the wording you write yourself
  • Every call carries the table it came from, because that is the only thing the person getting up needs to know
  • “I'll take it” is visible to everyone: two waiters don't set off for the same table, and whoever comes back knows what is left
  • A second tap does not create a second call: someone who sees nobody coming presses again, and rightly so — the console keeps one row, with how long they have been waiting

Issue reports

79 € / year + 12 € per extra contact

Whoever finds a problem reports it by tapping the room's tag: the report reaches the right contact by email with the spot it came from, and you close it from the console.

  • Whoever finds the fault reports it in ten seconds from their phone, without knowing who to tell or hunting for an internal number
  • Every report carries the spot it came from — meeting room, room 214, changing room — so nobody has to ask “which one?” and nobody walks there for nothing
  • Open / in progress / resolved: the reporter sees it has been picked up and does not report it three times, and you see what is still outstanding
  • One contact is included and receives the email; with several — maintenance, cleaning, IT — each category goes to whoever has to fix it (12 € a year each)

Entry carnet

49 € / year

Prepaid entries without the paper card: you sell the carnet at the counter, the customer uses an entry by tapping the tag and sees how many are left.

  • Sell the carnet in two taps from the console and give the customer an eight-digit code: from then on the entries live on their phone, not on a card that gets lost
  • The entry is used from the tag's page and never twice in a row: a badly placed phone does not burn a paid entry
  • Whoever has two uses the one expiring first, so they are not left holding the one about to run out
  • An entry used by mistake is cancelled from the console, and if you stayed closed you can give one back: it all stays in the carnet's history, with the reason
  • See the carnets about to expire with entries still inside: that is the phone call that brings back a customer who has already paid

Workout plans

49 € / year + 3 € per extra plan

The training plan on the customer's phone: you write days and exercises from the console and give them an eight-digit code. Five plans included.

  • The customer has their plan on their phone instead of a sheet folded in four: they open it with an eight-digit code, once
  • Write the days the way you name them — “Monday — chest and triceps”, “Day A” — with sets, reps and the notes that make an exercise doable
  • The exercises you write go into your own archive and are suggested in the next plan: the second plan takes half the time of the first
  • Revise it whenever you like and the code stays the same: the customer reopens the same link and finds this month's training
  • Five plans included; a deleted one frees the slot for a new customer, and further ones cost 3 € a year each

Club membership manager

69 € / year + 25 € per extra block of 50 cards

Member registration without paper forms: the member fills in their details and signs the consents on their phone, you issue the card from the console — by hand or from your federation, via API — and they find it again with the code.

  • The member fills in their details and ticks the consents from their phone, even from home: you receive a complete request instead of a form to retype
  • Consents are recorded with the date and the version of the text the member had in front of them: that is the proof you need, not a generic tick
  • You issue the card, never the form: type the code you received from your federation, or have ASI issue it and the code comes back on its own
  • See active cards, those about to expire and expired medical certificates: those are the two calls to make before a member is left out
  • Send the code to the member with one tap, by email or WhatsApp, with the message already written
  • Fifty cards included; beyond that, blocks of fifty at 25 € a year — fifty cents a card

Events

79 € / year

Your event calendar: the customer asks to join from their phone, you confirm from the console and hand them a pass with the code — in the phone's wallet, and you scan it at the door.

  • Write the event once — date, place, how many people fit — and share the link on WhatsApp, on social, or from a tag
  • Whoever wants to come leaves a name, a phone number and an email: you get a request, not twenty messages to copy into a notebook
  • The spot is taken by your confirmation, never by the form: nobody grabs a seat on their own
  • When it is full, requests go to a waiting list instead of vanishing: if somebody drops out, you already know who to call
  • Send the eight-digit code by email or WhatsApp with the message already written, and the customer saves the pass to their phone's wallet
  • At the door you scan the QR on the pass: the card opens, you see who it is and check them in with one tap
  • The next day you know how many actually showed up, which is the number no notebook ever had

Surveys

39 € / year + 3 € per extra active survey

You write the questions — cleanliness, waiting time, breakfast, staff — and the customer answers on a page of their own: the console shows the average for each question, the comments and what keeps coming up.

  • A 1-to-5 score tells you something is wrong, a survey tells you what: breakfast or the room, the queue or the staff
  • You write the questions, with the type you need: stars, faces, yes/no, a choice among your own options, free text or NPS from 0 to 10
  • Nobody is sent to Google: a survey measures, it does not ask for reviews — and it leaves the path that collects them untouched
  • The survey link and QR code work without a tag too: by email to someone who visited last week, or printed on the table
  • Insights tell you what recurs in the free text, and the numbers stay the real ones from your dashboard — percentages are not written by the AI
  • One survey included; if you keep more than one open — room, breakfast, spa — they are 3 € a year each

Work order status

49 € / year

The customer drops an item at the counter and follows the work from their phone: received, in progress, ready, collected. With a ten-digit code on the receipt.

  • Open the order with a name and a description: the customer has the code on the receipt and follows the status from their phone, without calling
  • They see «Received», «In progress», «Ready for pickup» — and when it is ready they do not have to ask whether they can come by
  • You can write when you expect it to be done, and a public note the customer reads under the status
  • A collected order stays visible to the customer for 30 days: if they come back to complain, the history is there
  • The ten-digit code is unique within your business: two customers can never see each other's order

Graphics

Beta

59 € / year

Pick a template, make it yours in Canva, and the result becomes a box on your landing page — which you show and hide whenever you like — plus an image to send on WhatsApp and social.

  • You design in Canva, which you already know: we give you the right template and take the result back
  • Graphics stay in your library and get reused: the Christmas one goes back up next year with one tap
  • One graphic on show at a time, and you put it up or take it down whenever you like: no dates to schedule
  • Every graphic also gives you an image ready to send on WhatsApp or post on social
  • You see how many people saw it and how many pressed the button

Yearly prices, VAT excluded, as with the plans: they add to the plan fee only for the services you switch on. Services marked Coming soon are announced with their price but cannot be switched on yet. For the others, just write to info@happytap.it and we will reply with timings and how to activate them.

Frequently asked questions

Does the customer have to install an app?

No. The NFC tag or the QR code opens a web page directly in the phone's browser. The whole thing takes a few seconds and needs no registration.

How do Google reviews work?

Every review can be shared: the links to Google and the other channels are always reachable, whatever the rating. The written comment, on the other hand, always comes only to you: it is your private feedback, separate from the public review.

Can I use several tags for the same business?

Yes, and it is the best way to use HappyTap. A tag for each table, room, area or department lets you see exactly where each piece of feedback comes from.

Is customer data safe?

Customers do not have to register or leave personal data to send feedback. To give each of them their own things back — their card, their carnet, their place in the queue — the browser keeps a random identifier: it holds no name or email, but it does identify that browser, so it is a pseudonym rather than anonymous data. Counting visits is a separate matter and happens only with consent, which can be refused without losing anything of the service. Each business sees only its own data.

Are there additional services beyond feedback and reviews?

Yes, 15 you can switch on today: Digital menu (39 € a year), Guest Wi-Fi (29 € a year), Digital queue (69 € a year), Table ordering (99 € a year), Loyalty card (49 € a year), Appointments (99 € a year), Staff call (24 € a year), Issue reports (79 € a year), Entry carnet (49 € a year), Workout plans (49 € a year), Club membership manager (69 € a year), Events (79 € a year), Surveys (39 € a year), Work order status (49 € a year), Graphics (59 € a year). They are additions to an active HappyTap plan, not standalone products: they live on your business page, so the plan is required. You switch them on when you need them, one or all, without changing plan or tag: they appear as dedicated buttons on the landing page and are managed from the same dashboard. The yearly cost adds to the plan fee and follows the same expiry, with no separate renewals. Write to us at info@happytap.it and we will tell you the terms and timings.

Do I have to switch on every service?

No, and it would not make sense. Reviews and feedback come with the plan and are enough to start; services are added when there is a problem to solve — the menu that needs reprinting, the queue at the counter, the phone calls about appointments. Each has its own yearly price and you pay only for the ones you switch on, with the same expiry as your subscription.

Can I customise the page customers see?

Yes: logo, colours, main message, call to action and links to Google, social networks, the menu or bookings. All editable from the dashboard, without touching code.

A small tap.
A big impact.

Reviews, menu, orders, bookings. One tag and a single dashboard.

NFC
Simple
Measurable
Effective

In short: you don't need to register or give us personal data to leave feedback. What we collect, and why, is written below in plain words.

Why we may process your data (legal basis)

Every piece of data we collect has its own legal ground, and it is not the same one for all of them.

Performance of the service you ask for (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): the browser identifier, the technical cookies, the email you connect to your Personal Area, and the data of your card, carnet, queue place or order. Without these we could not give you what you asked for, which is why we do not ask for your consent.

Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): visit statistics (ht_stats), Google Analytics, the optional name and email left with a feedback, and notifications. You can withdraw it at any time, and withdrawing it does not affect what happened before.

Legal obligation and legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(c) and 6(1)(f) GDPR): the cookie that remembers your cookie choice, which exists only so we can respect it, and the security of the platform against abuse.

Personal Area and email recovery

You can use the services without creating a profile. If you choose to keep them with your email address, we verify it with a link and connect your cards, carnets, plans and bookings to your Personal Area for that business. The same email address at a different business is a separate profile.

The access link expires after 20 minutes and can be used once. The technical cookie ht_personal_ followed by the business identifier keeps you signed in for 30 days; the ht_personal_pending_ cookie holds the link awaiting your confirmation for at most 20 minutes. Both are httpOnly cookies and do not depend on analytics consent.

From your Personal Area you can sign out of the device you are using or of every device. The profile and the services you saved stay available for a later recovery by email.

The email address you connect is collected on behalf of the business you connect it to, which is its data controller, and we use it to send you the access link and to recognise you at that business. It does not sign you up to promotions, it is not used for anything else and it does not reach other businesses.

What we collect when you tap a tag

When you hold your phone to a HappyTap tag or scan a QR code, we record that the page was opened, which tag you came from, the date and time, and minimal technical information about the device (device type and browser).

We do not collect your location, your contacts, or any data from your accounts.

The browser identifier, and what we do with it

To give you back your things — the card with the points you earned, the carnet you paid for, your place in the queue, the order you sent — your browser keeps a random identifier. It does not contain your name and does not identify you as a person, but it does identify the browser you are using: it is therefore a pseudonym, not anonymous data, and for us it is personal data in every respect.

The cookie is called ht_visitor, lasts about 13 months — the life of a yearly carnet or a points collection — and is created at the moment you ask for one of those things, not merely because you opened a page. Without it we could not provide the service you asked for, which is why we do not ask for your consent to set it.

Counting your visits is a different matter and lives in a second cookie, ht_stats: it is what lets us say “this is your third visit”, greet you when you come back, and produce the numbers the business reads in its dashboard. We only write it if you allow it from the banner, we delete it as soon as you change your mind, and without it the service works identically: you lose the greeting and the count, not the card.

Your choice is kept in a third cookie, ht_consent, for six months: it is what allows us to respect it. ht_visitor and ht_stats are httpOnly, meaning no script on the page can read them.

Name and email, only if you want

You can send a rating and a comment without leaving any personal data. Name and email are always optional.

If you do leave them, we keep them in a separate cookie (ht_customer, 6 months, also httpOnly) for two reasons: to let the business reply to you, and to save you retyping them next time.

Cookies used by the platform

Besides the cookies of the feedback flow, business owners who sign in to the dashboard have a session cookie (ht_session) that lasts 7 days and only serves to keep them signed in.

The language you choose on the site is remembered in a technical cookie (ht_lang, one year): it only serves to reopen pages in the language you picked and contains nothing else.

We do not use advertising profiling cookies and we do not sell data to anyone.

Usage statistics (Google Analytics)

To understand how the service is used we use Google Analytics 4, but only if you allow it: until you accept from the banner, the script is not even loaded and no analytics cookie is written.

If you accept, Google Analytics sets two first-party cookies, _ga and _ga_ followed by the stream identifier, with a default lifetime of two years. They serve to tell visits apart and to keep session state.

The data collected (page views, referral source, device type) is processed by Google and reaches us in aggregate form. We do not send Google your name, your email address or the text of your feedback.

The processing involves a transfer of data to the United States, where Google's servers are. The transfer relies on the EU-US adequacy decision of 10 July 2023 (EU-US Data Privacy Framework), which Google LLC adheres to, and secondarily on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

You can change your mind at any time with the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer. The service works normally if you decline.

Notifications

If you turn on notifications, your browser generates an installation identifier that lets us send you messages. You can revoke the permission at any time from the site settings in your browser: from that moment you will receive nothing further.

Notifications only concern offers and news from the business you gave consent for.

Who sees your data

Each business sees only the feedback received on its own tags. No data is shared between different businesses.

Aggregated and anonymous data may be used for statistics on how the service performs.

How long we keep the data

Cookies last for the periods listed in the table below; the data on our servers instead follows the life of the service it belongs to.

Cards, carnets, plans and bookings stay for as long as the business's service is active and you can still use them: a closed points collection or a spent carnet is of no use to anyone, and from that point only the business's accounting record remains.

Feedback, ratings and comments stay available to the business for as long as it uses the platform. Optional name and email stay attached to the feedback until you ask for their deletion or withdraw your consent.

Queue numbers and orders are short-lived: they serve the day and are superseded by the service itself.

You can ask for deletion at any moment and we carry it out: we do not wait for an expiry. If a business stops using HappyTap, the data collected on its behalf is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights and deletion

For the data you leave with a single business (for example the email connected to your Personal Area there), that business is the data controller: HappyTap processes it on their behalf as a data processor.

You can exercise your rights — access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability — by writing to info@happytap.it: we forward the request to the business concerned when the data is theirs.

You can ask at any time for the data concerning you to be deleted or anonymised by writing to info@happytap.it.

Clearing the site data from your browser removes every cookie and stops the device from being recognised.

The service

HappyTap provides NFC tags and QR codes linked to customised web pages that let a business's customers leave a rating and be directed towards external review platforms.

The business owner's obligations

  • · Provide truthful information and keep it up to date.
  • · Do not incentivise reviews with rewards or discounts, in breach of the external platforms' rules.
  • · Do not use the contact details collected for purposes other than those stated to customers.
  • · Comply with applicable personal data legislation.

No review filtering

HappyTap does not stop anyone from publishing a review wherever they wish. Links to external platforms are always reachable, whatever the rating: the rating threshold only determines when the invitation to publish is shown prominently.

Availability and limitations

The service is provided as is. We do not guarantee any specific increase in the number of reviews, which depends on customer behaviour and on the external platforms' policies.
